We use the latest version of ProPresenter for our projection. While this is a powerful and flexible software, it does have limitations. Hopefully this guide can provide all the information you need to make your visit as smooth as possible. If you have any questions, email tech@hillsidecc.ca!
Submitting Media
Timing
In order to ensure your media will work properly, it is ideal if we can receive the media a few days in advance so we can set it up and test it with our system. (Typically this means us receiving the files on Friday for a Sunday service.) Please email tech@hillsidecc.ca with the files or a link to download them. For the best compatability we recommend the following formats as well as keeping your original copies as backup.
How to Deliver your Media
If the file(s) are small enough, email is the simplest method. Send media to media@hillsidecc.ca
If the file(s) are too large for email, then uploading the file(s) to a cloud server like One Drive, Google Drive, P-Cloud, etc. and then emailing a download link to media@hillsidecc.ca
If that is not possible, bring the files with you on a USB Flash Drive.
Videos
Videos are best in a .MP4 format with a resolution of 1080p (1920×1080) and landscape orientation.
Streaming can be unreliable so we do not recommend it.
Pictures & Slideshows & Sermon Slides
Pictures / Slideshows
Plain .JPG / .JPEG or .PNG images are best.
Please use some identifying name followed by 01, 02, .. etc. (using the topic, date, or speakers name are some ideas eg: “mexicotrip 01.jpg”)
If you want music with the slideshow or varied automatic progression, then we recommend turning the slideshow into a video file (see above).
PowerPoint / Keynote / Etc.
Keynote, or equivalent files are not compatible with our system. Many programs will let you export your slides into images that can then be submitted.
PowerPoint has limited compatibility. We can import .PPT and .PPTX files; however, it only imports still images of each slide. All video and audio are lost and transitions are not only lost, but can cause imported images to be unusable.
Sermon Slides
If your slides are text only, you can just send the text so we can copy and paste it into the slideshow software.
Audio Files
Audio files should be in .MP3 or .WAV format.
Streaming can be unreliable so we do not recommend it.
